“Trithiya Prakruthi Deserve something Vital. They Deserve your Respect, and from that Respect comes a more Compassionate Community, a more Empathetic Society and a Better World for All of Us”CHALLENGES Post pandemic, people are scared to even touch the people they know, in this situation imagine the transgenders who live their life begging. They do this for their living not by their choice but without any other option. According to the survey conducted by National Human Rights Commission, 92% of transgenders are deprived of the right to participate in any form of economic activity in the country, even though they are qualified for the required job. 18 percent of them are physically abused, 62 percent are verbally abused in school. 15 percent are harassed by students as well as teachers. OUR GOAL My Identity My pride is a donation and survey program conducted in Karnataka by the Trikailash Foundation to find out about the situation of transgenders. In this survey, we are focusing to know more about their education, literacy rate, present situation, what they do for their living, problems they are facing, and many more. The main aim of this program is to bring awareness among the people about the reality and day-to-day problems faced by transgenders. We provide them with basic necessities like groceries, clean drinking water, clothing and many more essentials and conduct skill development programs to help them build their livelihood filled with happiness and respect.
